Direct-to-chip closed loop confirmed as primary cooling

AHI has confirmed direct-to-chip (DTC) closed-loop liquid cooling as the reference cooling design for its example Secure Data Halls. Coolant runs straight to the chips in a sealed loop, recirculates continuously, and nothing evaporates.

With this design, the campus uses no municipal water: the campus uses zero municipal water. Any water used on site is captured, treated and reused. Heat rejection uses Alberta’s climate — free cooling for most of the year.

The halls are designed to operate at a PUE in the ~1.1–1.2 range — with a single-phase immersion option that runs lower still for customers who want it. Cooling is engineered to OEM thermal specifications for current-generation accelerators.

Waste heat does not go to waste. It is engineered to catalyze year-round agritech on the campus — the food-security pillar of the master plan.
