First Rolls-Royce mtu gensets en route to site

Hydrogen-blend-ready prime power begins the journey to Blindman — long-lead equipment secured years in advance.

The first Rolls-Royce mtu generation packages for AHI are on their way to Blindman Industrial Park. Ordered in 2025 and built to the campus specification, they arrive as the generation building reaches readiness to receive them.

The packages are hydrogen-blend ready, configured for N+1 prime operation with dual-fuel standby, and covered by OEM long-term service. On site, Collicutt Energy of Red Deer handles packaging, commissioning and service.

Setting gensets on their rails is the visible turn from civil construction to energy infrastructure — the point where a site becomes a power plant. Electrical rooms and the motor-control centre are advancing in parallel so that energization follows in sequence.

“Every customer conversation starts with power,” said Sunny Sarpal, CEO & Founder. “Today the answer is sitting on a truck on the QEII.”

AHI — AI Hub of Innovation is developed by Havenz Smart Communities (Lead Developer) in partnership with Turning Stone Developments (Lead Investor); both are general partners of AHI. Figures are as published on ahicampus.com at the date shown; nothing in this article constitutes an offer to sell or a solicitation to buy securities. Growth beyond the 30 MW plan of record is a pathway subject to its own permits and studies.
